Material Guide
Flexible, rubber-like and extremely impact- and abrasion-resistant.
TPU is a flexible, rubber-like material. It bends, stretches and springs back, absorbs impact and resists abrasion — properties no rigid plastic can offer.
It is sold by shore hardness: the lower the number, the softer the material. 95A is firm and flexible, 85A is soft and squashy. Because it is flexible, TPU is printed slowly and dried before use, which is why flexible parts take longer than rigid ones.
