Help Center

How can we help?

Quick answers about quotes, files, materials and delivery — and the engineering guides we use ourselves.

Quotes & pricing

How do I get a quote?

Fill in the quote form: describe the part, the material if you know it, dimensions, quantity and intended use, and attach your file. We review everything and reply within 1–2 business days with a detailed quote.

Is there a minimum order?

No — we print single prototypes as well as small batches.

How are prices calculated?

Each service page lists starting prices (for example, small PLA prints from €10 for parts up to 50 g, CAD modelling from €30 per part). The final price depends on the part's size, material, complexity and quantity — and for design work, on the number of components and revision rounds. Quotes are straightforward, with no hidden fees for supports or setup. See 3D printing prices and design prices.

Do you offer student or academic pricing?

Yes. Contact us with your project brief and deadline — we regularly support university thesis, coursework and competition projects.

Can I ask a quick question before sending files?

Yes — message us on WhatsApp at +39 331 464 9822, or use the contact form.

Is it cheaper to book several services as one project?

Not necessarily cheaper per step, but for multi-stage projects, running design, prototyping and production preparation as one process usually reduces rework. If you only need one stage, use that service directly. See Product Development Support.

Files & design

Will you sign an NDA before I send my files?

Yes. We treat every file as confidential, and we sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share sensitive designs: our mutual NDA, or yours. Tick the NDA box in the quote form and send only a general description at first. See also the confidentiality section of our Terms of Service.

Which file formats do you accept?

For printing, STL, STEP and OBJ are preferred. The quote form also accepts F3D, 3MF, PDF, JPG and PNG, up to 8 MB per request. For larger files, paste a WeTransfer or Google Drive link in the description.

I only have a sketch or an idea, not a CAD file. Can you help?

Yes. We develop initial concepts from sketches, references and requirements, then refine dimensions with you during review. Start with Mechanical Design Support.

My file keeps failing to print, warps, or needs too much support. What can I do?

That is usually a design issue rather than a printing one. Our Design for 3D Printing service reviews wall thickness, overhangs, orientation and tolerances, and returns a print-ready file with a note on what changed. The article 10 rules to avoid failed prints covers the most common causes.

Do I need Design for 3D Printing if I print with you anyway?

For simple parts, no — every file is reviewed by an engineer before printing. The service is for models with real structural or manufacturability issues, or files you plan to print elsewhere.

I have a part with no drawing. Do I need to ship it to you?

Not always. Accurate photos and measurements are often enough for simple geometry. For tight-tolerance or complex parts, having the physical part (or a scan) improves accuracy. See Reverse Engineering.

What do I receive after reverse engineering?

An editable CAD file (STEP), plus technical drawings if needed for manufacturing.

Materials

Which materials do you print with?

Eight material families on Bambu Lab P1S and P1P printers: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, polycarbonate (PC), TPU, Nylon and PET-CF — more than 25 grades in total, including carbon-fibre, glass-fibre, flexible and decorative grades. See the materials overview.

How do I choose the right material?

Start from what the part has to survive: load, heat, moisture, UV or impact. The filament comparison puts all four materials in one table — or describe the application and we'll recommend the material before printing.

How accurate are printed parts?

It depends on the material. Typical accuracy is ±0.1–0.2 mm for PLA, ±0.15–0.25 mm for PETG and ±0.2–0.4 mm for ABS and Nylon on a calibrated printer. Each material guide lists recommended clearances for press, sliding and rotating fits.

Which material is best for parts that get hot?

The carbon- and glass-fibre composites (PA6-CF, PAHT-CF, PET-CF) have the highest heat resistance, followed by polycarbonate, then ABS and ASA. ASA is the better choice when the part is also exposed to sunlight. PLA starts to soften around 55–60 °C, so avoid it for parts left in a car or near heat sources. See the ABS guide.

Which printers do you use, and how big can a part be?

We print on Bambu Lab P1S (enclosed) and P1P (open frame) printers, with a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Larger parts can be designed to print in sections — ask us.

Can you print carbon-fibre and flexible materials?

Yes. Carbon- and glass-fibre grades (PLA-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PAHT-CF, PET-CF) are printed with a hardened steel nozzle, and flexible TPU in 95A, 90A and 85A. The compatibility table lists every grade.

Which material is best for snap-fits, hinges and gears?

PETG and Nylon. Nylon offers the best fatigue and wear resistance; PLA is brittle under repeated flexing. Read how to design snap-fit joints.

Production & delivery

How long does an order take?

Most standard printing orders ship within 3–5 business days. Larger or batch orders are quoted with a specific timeline.

Do you ship outside Italy?

Yes. We ship across the EU as standard and work with clients worldwide. Shipping outside the EU is quoted case by case.

What is the difference between Custom 3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping?

Custom 3D Printing is for a single, finalized file. Rapid Prototyping is for when you're still testing and expect several versions, with engineering feedback between rounds.

Can you work to a university or competition deadline?

Yes — mention your deadline when you send your concept or file, and we'll plan the rounds around it.

Can I start with one stage and add more later?

Yes. Many projects start with a single prototype and expand into full development support once validated.
